    Hi.

I'll try and keep it short.

I misplaced my new UX31A ultrabook and thought it was stolen/lost. I recently found it after having already purchased another ultrabook so not needing two ultrabooks, I need to sell my UX31A.

Can someone advise me as to the best way to completely wipe the computer of personal data while preserving the pre-loaded Windows 7 OS?

I noticed there are 4 different partitions. EFI System Partition, Primary Partition, System Partition and Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

If you have an external hard drive create a full system image with a program like Free Backup Software: Paragon Backup & Recovery Free Edition - Overview, then install paragon on your other system and restore any files you need. (Or just copy all of your user files to an external drive or usb drive; all S/B in my documents).
Personally I would do both. Then cold boot the computer and press F9 to bring up the recovery menu where you should have to option to restore your system to factory specs.

Thanks. I'd like to securely wipe the entire drive except for the partition that contains the recovery data. Is this possible?
