I went to bestbuy today and they finally had a g73 on display (this is in canada), so as you can guess I went to go see it and I was surprised of its size, it big but something that I noticed was the keyboard it looked as if it was the same keyboard as on the g51jx's but when the keys are back-lite there is no bleeding there is no harsh white light nor any squeaking or jiglee buttons. The keyboard on the g73 is alot nicer has anyone tried putting one on a g51jx??? I really want that keyboard, the keyboard is even nicer then 200$ gaming keyboard the response of the keys its pure delight lol. Does anyone know where i could purchase the keyboard???
-Thanks in advance

Asus spare parts... but if your notebook doesnt have a backlit keyboard to start with, you wont have backlight on this one either, since theres a seperate connector for led lighting for the keyboard on the motherboard and there is also little chance that the g73jh keyboard will even work on your model, since they are model specific.

g51jx has a backlit keyboard

The replacement keyboard (part #04GNV33KUS00-3) is listed for the following models:
G51
G60VX
G72GX
G73Jh -
Sounded like the op was saying he didnt have a backlit keyboard.
My mistake than. If its listed than it should work... -
Has anyone tried to put this keyboard in the g73???

If your model is listed as supported it should work, otherwise you can always return it for a refund if it doesnt (just point out to them that its listed as compatible).

I have swapped keyboards between my G73 and my G51, they both work in each. Only difference is the G51's is black, and the G73's is grey. Otherwise, are the same and it will work.
