hey guys, i just picked up a samsung 206bw widescreen lcd monitor to use with my 360 and my asus g1s when i'm at home. anyway, the problem is this: my logitech g15 keyboard doesn't fit on my keyboard tray with enough room for my mouse and pad. so, i figured i would just put the keyboard and mouse/pad on the desk itself and put the g1s on the keyboard tray, which fits nicely. i would be able to run the cables from the back of the notebook behind the desk and into all my peripherals, which works great.

anyway, i need to be able to shut the lid of my laptop in order to fit it on the tray, which apparently can be done by accessing power4gear and setting it so that when you shut the lid, nothing happens. i remember somehow doing this a while ago because i set it so that when i shut the lid, it goes into hibernation mode.

to all you g1s/power4gear users, how can i set it so that when you shut the lid, nothing happens so i can fit it on my tray and use the monitor instead?

    thanks in advance!

you can set this in the advanced section of the power options in the vista control panel. this way it only turns of the screen but does not go into any sleep modes
