Guys, I cant install those drivers. I am getting this .INF error (video driver not found, setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard vga driver before running setup). This is the message I got. I tried everything and nothing was working. What to do?

How do you install catalyst drivers?
    Please help.

    Thanks

You need to download modded drivers. The drivers provided by ATI are for desktop cards...notebook cards are done through manufacturers.

    Go to driverheaven.net

I recently got this exact same error when trying to switch to Catalyst 7.1's after using the newest Omega's (3.8.330). After the error I tried using the Catalyst 6.9's that I downloaded from the same site (NGOHQ.com). I have had my Z96J since 10.2006 and have upgraded catalyst drivers with each update until now when they failed to install.

Following Gautam3's advice, I found this @ tool. Will give this a try when I get some free time.

BTW, the Omega drivers work fine with out any modifications and come with ATI tray tools
