In my new G1S I noticed at the bottom of the 'system' screen, there is a link that says "2 days until automatic activation" When I try to activate windows (by clicking the link), I can a screen that says the product key you typed is invalid.

Anyone know why this is so? Do I need to activate windows?

    Thanks much for your help.

Call MS, im assuming you have a retail copy and its all legal and valid.

If its pirated thats probably your problem.

    Thanks

I'll take a look at that link. If the Software is pirated then it came like that from the vendor.

OK I had to call MS and went through the process of going through 54 or so numbers to activate the crazy thing. Seemed like it worked. Thanks.
