Ok, so I have a bunch of questions that I need answered before I buy my first Asus notebook, the EEE PC T91 touchscreen tablet.
the specs are: Intel Atom 1.33Ghz, 1GB ram(I'll get it to 2 if I can)., win xp, 8.9inch screen GMA 500
Ok, I want to use this thing for writting notes in class as well as doing math assignments.
1. Will this machine run oneNote or a similar program? I'm assuming it will.
2. (important) will oneNote (or equivilent) allow me to change the thickness of the 'ink', I can't see well so I need to have thick letters?
3. what type of files does oneNote make? I need to be able to store and view them from any other computer?
4. will this even work? should I just get a 12inch tablet to be safe. The HP touchsmart is 1050$ right now, and if this will work I won't have any trouble paying that much for it.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Typing extensively on a 91 is going to give you bad cramps and probably carpal tunnel; units at that size level are not designed to be a primary system. The smallest screen I would suggest using for lots of typing would be a 10 inch.
OneNote will run, but the screen res of 1024x600 or smaller is going to hamper its utility. I believe that you can change the font size you're typing with, but I haven't used ON in a while. Either way, you'd be doing a LOT of scrolling on a small res screen in the sub-10 inch netbook set. If you desperately need the portability of a netbook, look at various 11 inch models instead as res on those is generally 1366x768.
Get the HP, since cost isn't a big issue for you. You'll be better off in so many different ways. -
