I waited all day for fedex to come until 7:30 when I called to see where the truck was and when I was on hold it came.
My first impression was that the blue is dark, like navy dark, but has lots of metallic sparkles so I like it. Well the blue is like a midnight blue and it really is fantastic in its own right. The next thing I noticed was that it was heavy, and then with the battery in it it's relatively VERY heavy but now that I'm used to it it seems lighter.
The screen is bothering me a bit because it feels like there is a layer of grease kind of hazing up the screen. Brightness can be VERY bright.
The keyboard is very typable.. kinda cramped but very usable. Keys have a sort of bouncy sound to them when I type. I miss having an end key.
Screen size is a bit smaller than I thought it would be but that's neither bad or good.
The mouse is going to take some time to get used to. Mainly the scrolling, I'm used to a Dell with the scroll bar on the side.
The OS is responsive and seems fine.. still customizing and setting up right now..
Wifi range is better than on my dell laptop. I think I just had a case of a key registering twice though
My biggest and only real complaint is the layer of grease thing. Kinda like this

Does anyone know how to adjust webcam settings/brightness?
BIG PROBLEM THOUGH
Umm how come standby wakes up at almost random? like if you press any button it wakes up.. I don't want that
I just got a 1000HE tonight, advice/help?
