You're not going to find any deals up to the caliber of Dell.

Just shop around for the model you want for a week, see who's got the cheapest. Also scour the web for coupons to use at said websites like a 10 or 15% off coupon or something like that.

I think I found the one I want on NewEgg.com

How often do they do deals?

In all honesty, the best place to buy an Asus in the US are from resellers like gentechpc and btotech.
Newegg is a great overall e-retailer, however they're operations are too diverse. Buying from a reputable reseller who specializes in Asus laptops will be advantageous in terms of customer service and technical support.
By the way, gentechpc sells them cheaper than newegg too :)

I bought my Asus F8SN-B1 from ExcaliberPC who is a regular on these forums. Their product knowledge is great (as you can tell by their Asus reviews) and their customer service is excellent. Highly recommend them:

OK, the fact is that you will get outstanding support and service (along with pretty comparable pricing between them), from any of the Asus resellers listed in the InfoBooth sticky, which include GenTech, Excaliber, Xotic, and BTOTech.

Whom you choose from that group is up to you, but you will not go wrong with any of them :)

Xotic was really good. They kept me up to date on everything and if they were able I'm sure they would have gotten me coffee and donuts too.
