It's the original Asus G1 (not G1-S, but I'm guessing they used the same battery..since they were so similar).

Anyway. The battery says ASUS Li-Ion Battery Pack. A42-A6

    Rating: +14.8V = 4800mAh.

Then there's a couple serial number things on the side of the battery. I think one is actually for the computer, the other may be for the battery.

    A6JL721. then a large space.

    then, 70-NFH5B2000M-00A4A-648-00F5

other one is the computer number thing (G1-AK000m)

then SN: 6CN0AG006068 (with a 24M that's not quite part of that SN thing)
    CN: 3431.

the Battery's been slowly crapping out on me. Gone from around 3 hours initially to 2 hours..to 1 and a halfish if I'm lucky (closer to 1 hour).

I did upgrade to windows 7 back in October and should probably figure out how to use the Power4Gear stuff correctly (it kept acting up so I went back to the windows 7 balanced power management).

still. The battery is over 3 years old. I'd rather replace it than the laptop (since I still love this laptop).

    Thanks.

still wow. 140 bucks for a battery...

guess that makes sense in a way.
