    Hey guys,
I have been on Notebookreview.com now for about 6 months reading the reviews and learning about laptops. I first came on here to see what notebook I should buy, and I was set for a Dell 9300, but thankfully you guys saved me from taking that route. So in turn, I decided I was going to get the S96J. It is a good laptop for college and an avid gamer. I ordered mine from Gentechpc.com, I placed my order yestereday and they all ready shipped it today. That is fast service. As my contribution to Notebookreview, I plan to do a comprehensive review with pics and benchmarks, basically the whole enchilada. If I can have a moderator tell me what to include that would be great.
My specs for my S96J are as follows:
    CPU: T2400 1. 83GHz
RAM: 1 Gig (667) Ill get the second gig when I need it at a cheaper price
    HD: Hitachi Travelstar 7K100 100GB 7200rpm S-ATA
    WIFI:IntelĀ® PRO/Wireless 3945 Tri-mode 802.11a/b/g
Warranty: 3rd Year GenTech Limited Warranty
Optical: 8 x DVD-RW Dual Layer Super Multi
NO OS, I have my copy already

    Total: $1440.00 US

Ill keep you guys informed as I figure things out.

    hey rickyskater16,

im going to be ordering an S96J as well almost the same specs as yours :)

I just called MilestonePC.com(CanadaSys) for a quote on one.

    CPU: T2400 1. 83GHz
    RAM: 1 Gig (667) 2x512MB
    HD: Hitachi Travelstar 7K100 100GB 7200rpm S-ATA
    WIFI:IntelĀ® PRO/Wireless 3945 Tri-mode 802.11a/b/g
    Warranty: 3 Year MilestonePC warranty
Optical: 8 x DVD-RW Dual Layer Super Multi

For 1600 + 140 for the extended warranty + tax...thats CAD so divide by 1.11 for USD.

I am thinking of getting the 80GB Hitachi and save a few more bucks...I'm going to be ordering next month :)

hope to see your review :D

I heard that the extended warranty price would be going up. So it would even out either way. Wouldnt it?
