    Hi All,

I have been looking for a new computer for a while and I really need help deciding on one. I have narrowed it down to the G60VX,N61VN,N70Sv. This will be my home/school/gaming/entertainment computer. Weight is not an issue with the computer. They all seem that they would fit me great and I have no idea how to choose. I will be playing games like D2, TF2, COD4/5/6, Starcraft, peggle and zuma, and possibly newer games that come out (starcraft 2 and d3) I would really appericate some help here. I have been lost for a while and just need some guidance.

    Thanks

    Pick your screen size.

Old games - either one would work.

New games - N61 will choke and die.

honestly....go Core i-7. And I agree with the above poster. I have been doing so much research in notebooks because I was needing to make a purchase. Everything I read over the past 4 weeks and discussed with "up-to-date" friends; the core i-7 is that much better.

Due to all the research I ended up ordering the Asus G51J. I was thinking of the NP8662, but the Q9000 doesn't lick a core-i7 therefore...G51J here it comes to me!

If your going to be gaming I'd go with the G60 out of these 3 for sure. Get the best vid card you can.

D2 = Diablo II? and Starcraft. Keep in mind that most (if not all) G laptops are widescreen so I'm wondering if you can adjust them. I know D2 can be played in a window by adding -window or something in the shortcut. When I got my notebook I had to deal with this for a few games and 90% worked so keep it in mind. I found this site and others very helpful.

Yeah I have liked what I have seen from g60vx. I dont know how far I am going to go into heavy gaming. Probably nothing more than like bioshock, I doubt I will play crysis or anything like that. So maybe the g51vx would be good as well?

I really like my g51vx. It'll run stuff like bioshock no problem and being a 15.6" laptop, it'll be easier to carry around (school) than a 17" one. The g51j is the newer g51 and I believe its cheaper with the new i7 multicore/multithreaded cpu.

Also the screen resolution on the g51 series is the full 1920x1080 compared to the 3 laptops you mentioned. So you might want to take that into consideration too.
