I have an Asus F6V-X2 RTL laptop and accidently some beer got spilled on it. The laptop works fine, but some of the keys are sticky. I am getting a replacement keyboard send from Asus but is there anyway I can clean the old keyboard. Such as putting it in some warm water with soap? Or any other method? Thanks.

Yes. I have personally rinsed my keyboard off under the tap after I spilled OJ on it. Distilled water would probably be better, and you need to make sure that it is dry before you reinstall it. I ended up throwing mine in the oven at 170F for about 2 hours to dry it out. Afterwards there were no sticky keys.

Here is my tutorial from TabletPCReview.com: Link . Most of the information will probably not be applicable to you, but if you were curious.

Having a drink with the lads on the internet eh?

I was in a similar predicament a while back and i managed to completely destroy my keyboard trying to clean it. Probably best to just wait until the new one shows up before trying anything... especially if your still durnk.
