Where are you guys getting your info? Last I looked (Friday) data on this model wasn't even listed on the ASUS site, and all the press release hoodoo was back in March, around the 9th... here we are almost a month & a half later and no new news. Pricing? Release date?

Like both you guys I was thinking about the W90 for a while but seems like there's a lot of drama with the model still, besides which it is heavy and HUGE.

I wish the 71Gx would come in 1680 x 1050 native resolution, text at 1900 x 1200 is just too small on a 17 inch screen for my tired old man's eyes.

I will go out on a limb with a $1499 prediction, with the T9550, and a $1699 version, with the Q9000.

Well, the new M860TU w/ 260M starts at $1400 with a P8600, so it may not be so farfetched. Asus will have to compete, after all.

I might go with $1599 and $1799 though.

Nah. My best guess would be $1900 for A1, $2100 for Q1.

The M860TU is in a sorta different market, should be competing with the G50VT. The G71G was a always more expensive.
