I'm not sure about Malaysia but in most countries ASUS laptops are sold with 2 year international warranty. So just call the nearest service center for a replacement optical drive.

    No service center in Kuwait.
If I'm he i will send it to Dubai service center but he's afraid he don't want to do so if this is really my computer i will do but he want to buy it and he don't mind the money.
I don't want to buy one then it shipped and maybe not compatible so i just want a link or the name of the DVD Drive.

If you get the same part number, it might be possible to remove the bezel, rail, and adapter and get it to work on a replacement unit. Most ASUS units use standard parts.

If he doesn't want to send the whole unit, it might be possible to arrange a replacement by sending just the drive (the serial number is keyed to the laptop, however). You can pitch it by saying it has a lower return shipping cost. ;)

Yes that should definitely be tried.

Check the ASUS estore and search for the part, you will probably obtain it's ID and everything.
