    Hi, I am thinking of buying the new Asus W90 how come on the website I can't find the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 the 2.0GHz CPU and also in the future do you think this video card can be upgraded to the dx11? Also is there driver update from ASUS that support Windows 7 as well?

    A bit late for a reply but I believe the W90vp has been discontinued. Too bad because its a very nice machine. I wanted one myself. :(

    Hopefully Asus will be releasing something similar in the future.

    dont think so... the w90 was discontinued because asus dont want to follow such a type of laptop "not there marketing concept anymore"

    I saw it on newegg as well and I saw that it as discontinued. I am currently in China right now and a store say that they had a unit of the W90Vp but in Intel T9400 but if I buy it is it hard to upgrade my own CPU to Q9000 or Q9300 later?

    I'd imagine buying the q9xxx later will cost more in the long run.

    If I find a chance on buying a discontinued item is it a good idea? I really like this laptop as well the looks and everything that included in the system. I just not sure if I should buy it still and its a lot cheaper then Alienware m17x for sure tho.

    its like the C90S and C90P these are also discontinued from asus in case of "not there marketing concept anymore" but there are so many users here that love that notebook and upgraded it that much so u can still use that more then 2 years old laptop better then the most newer ones

    If i have the money and wanted such a gaming laptop i would buy the w90 or a custom build nexoc and not those alienware stuff

    Alright thanks I think I will end up buying the Asus W90VP but they only have the Intel T9400 and the T9600 I was thinking getting the T9400 use it for a little bit and is it hard to upgrade the CPU on this system.

    yeah its pretty weird these decisions. Those laptops are pretty rare and even get more intresting... but hey who cares about us at asus ;)

    I believe these were discontinued due to lack of driver support from ATI. You can't run Crossfire configuration if you update your drivers. Read the reviews on Newegg. Even so a single 4870 is a nice video card and the rest of the computer is pretty amazing.

    Crap ya the store people called me back and say that they don't have any more of this unit. I was like crap oh well going to have to find some other laptop.
