I am currently using a Asus G1s from three years back(wow how time flys) and while I would love to either build a new desktop or buy a nice netbook/laptop, money is currently tight and I feel upgrading my G1s would be the best call. It still has its stock 2 gb ram and 120 gb hard drive.

I want to buy a new hard drive and buy 2 2gb ram and reformat with a fresh copy of windows 7. The problem is I don't know that much about computers. What hard drives and Ram are compatible with this computer? How hard is it to swap this things out?

Thanks for any help in advance.

You can upgrade your processor but it won't really be worth it. I would suggest maybe investing in a new notebook if it doesnt fit your needs anymore

I don't want to upgrade the processor. I'm perfectly happy with its current performance.

I'd like to keep it under $200 if possible.

    I'd suggest:

    1.) Upgrade to Windows 7
2.) Leave the ram AS IS

3.) If possible upgrade to either: a) a Larger 7200 RPM Hard drive b) an SSD
