I didnt know how to describe this best but has anyone had the issue of IE not looking correct sometimes?

What I mean is if I have it open and minimize it, sometimes (about 1 out of 10) when I bring it back up either the toolbar or parts of the window where the website would be itself dont show and its like i see the background in place of these areas.

If I minimize and reopen again its fine, or if i scoll on the page or move the mouse over the toolbar buttons they show up.

Its almost like the video is going bad but I know its fine.

I only seem to have the problem with IE. No other programs do this, and games and all are fine.

And yes it did this with no overclocking at all. (I am overclocking GPU now but it did this before too.)

I am sure its cant be the video card though because all other stuff runs fine.

I have a g50vt-a2. Just wondering if any ideas? I was going to google but didnt know how to word it right for the search, lol

    Thx

This happens to me too sometimes, but in FF3 and only when I'm multi-tasking crazily. ie. when i'm running Photoshop, excel, word, bit torrent, and have 20+ webpages open while watching HDTV with a USB tuner.

I'd try and reduce the number of open applications, but if that's not the case, try and reinstall IE.

I only have IE (one window) open when this happens.

Its just strange that its only IE.

I have seen this problem on computers before and its normally bad driver or failing video but than it also does it with multiple apps.

Its not that big of an issue, was more worried at first because I thought "Oh no! My video card on my notebook is going to die!" but I know its not that now for sure!

If anyone else has ideas please chime in.

    Thanks everyone!

I think it is a vista/IE problem. I /have the same effect on a Sony Vaio FZ with Intel X3100 and now on my Asus F6V with ATI HD 3470. Both computers work well.
