Anyone know whether the integrated card reader works on SDHC cards,
like the 16gb ones that newer cameras can use? I didn't see SDHC in the
description, but maybe it's understood that new SD readers can use them.

Is it actually an asus product or a relabeled reader made by someone else?

I have a U81-a BB version and use a 8GB SDHC card for a Ready Boost drive and it works fine...........

Like all notebook manufactures, none of them will make their own media card reader and most other hardware for that matter.

As for the SDHC cards, they should work on any new Asus notebook.

I have an Asus W2W-A1 that is better than 2 years old using an 8GB SDHC card without issue.

As far as the card reader, I think it is a Ricoh chip and drivers that provide functionality.
