3) Im flash my PSP , my xbox360, my wii, but I not understand some parts of the flashing the 9800gs to 9800gts. with the DOX 182.05 is the driver, like the driver we download from nVidia for any card, the nvflash is the program that make the flash with the two ROM on a boot able usbflash, and done, but any time Nvidia release a new driver for 9800gs or 9800gts , is post to be Im install 9800gs, or 9800gts or any installation until the guy make the dox release a new version of the dox 182.05??????

1. A tic noise isn't unusual for a drive but it shouldn't be real loud either. Go to your Control Panel, then Performance Information, Advanced Tools.
Go to the bottom of the Advanced Tools list and run the Health Check option - it will run a full system diagnostic, including your drive.
2. If you downgrade your system (or try) you're only going to screw yourself and spend the next few weeks trying to get your system to run. You'll never find all the drivers because they don't exist and aren't supported by ASUS or anyone else. Vista systems are designed to run with Vista, and especially a 64 bit platform. Forget the BS about Vista being crap - XP is crap compared to Vista.
3. I have no idea what you're trying to say, but if you're referring to GPU drivers, only use the ones that are listed for your system on the ASUS support site. If you use OEM drivers from NVIDIA you'll likely have problems as they're not certified for use with your installed card. Your installed card is NOT the same as an OEM unit from NVIDIA.
4. You can leave your notebook on as long as you want, but eventually your available RAM is going to get critical and you'll need to restart. You need to modify and/or change your Power Plan settings too or your system will automatically go into Sleep/Hibernate after a certain period. You can access the Power settings from the Control Panel. -
I disagree on a few points CyberVisions. Updated video drivers either via nvidias available laptop drivers or getting desktop versions with modded infs have seldom caused me any issues and usually fixed a few things and increased performance in some games and when I say this I am going a long way back. If an updated driver causes problems it is easy enough to roll back in vista or XP that IMO its a zero loss game. The trade off is that you may lose control over some or all of your power settings depending on the version, mobile/desktop used.
As to XP being crap, cant agree. I had zero issues with XP, less in fact than vista. In either case I have to fiddle to make it work the way I want it to work. Neither does anything easier or better than the other in my every day computing world. I do agree that moving back to XP would be a mistake since the driver issue would be difficult to surmount but crap is too strong a word IMO. -
Ok looks like the "tic" is something normal , but still scary , desktop hard drive , make the noise when working, this one is a "tic" when star or stop the work , in the middle of the work don't do any noise, I run the diagnostic tools, but is windows tools , means not trust a lot...the test give pass ok on all.
My 3rd question is about flash the video card with the dox182 , to convert the 9800gs to 9800gts , means 10 to 15 % more power. And the question for the guys already do this is, the driver is the dox182.05 , when nvidia release an update , is post to be don't use when you have installed the dox182.05...???????
And about windows , I have experience with windows xp desktop, work well, so far so good, but we know is a pain in the bu.. to find asus drivers for xp, Im already find it, but at the end , for the people already do the downgrade to xp or upgrade to seven 7 , really make a difference in performance with games and applications, really pay off all the work.
Thanks guys. -
The DOX drivers are not what flashes the card. Follow this guide:

RainMotorsports Formerly ClutchX2
The tick of the drive head locking to the center when it loads and unloads is magnetic and if youve ever had a hard drive open and felt it you'd understand why its so loud.

But this is not my question , man!
My question is after that , after Im do the flash , when Nvidia release a new version of the driver with new feactures or fixes for games, how Im install the new feactures, of the new driver of Nvdia If I have The custom DOX driver....?????? who can get this updates on a custom driver????????
I can install the nvidia 9800gts???? or I need still with the dox driver and find the update for the dox driver?????????
, and for the "tic" I open the backpart of the laptop and see all the cooling system, nice!!!!, but the "TIC" comes from the HDD ,on the right side of the touchpad where is the HDD.
Thanks a lot guys for helping me!!!!!!! -

For the choice between Vista and XP, I choose Vista. My desktop has a Vista certified logo, and when I bought it, I installed XP on it. Despite having heard a lot of bad things about Vista, I still gave it a chance. And I'm happy with my choice. My desktop run Vista smoothly, with games load faster, run faster... 3 months ago, on a nice day
, my Vista mysteriously died. I installed XP SP3 to see what's different. Now, my rig is running like a crap. I think when my G50Vt arrives, I will install Vista on both my desktop and laptop.
