    Hey guys...
been messin' around with my new sleek toy Z70va the past couple of weeks and it's a beauty. But I got a quick question.
I love all the real estate on this notebook but, man, how can I get the font to be a little bigger? After a couple weeks of using this lappy, I realize I'm constantly squinting to read internet, icons, programs, etc.

When I use the internet, I press "CNTRL" and "+" and it increases the font, but it only does it temporarily. It's annoying that I have to do this everytime I open up a new firefox window. Plus, even when I "CNTRL+", it only increases the font and everything else stays the same size which makes everything look disfigured.

Also, even when I bring up the DPI, it doesn't increase the size for everything. It only increases the font sizes for certain things (like the title writing on the window headings, etc).

Does anyone know how I can just make EVERYTHING bigger? Including font, internet, figures, programs...everything bigger to scale, and stays SET everytime I start my comp??
Its starting to take a toll on my eyes. I can't use my Z70va for longer than a couple hours or I start to get a headache from all the squinting.
This is my first laptop purchase, and I'm starting to think maybe I got the wrong one. I thought it wasn't gonna be a big deal and I liked the idea of having such a nice, big screen with a lot of real estate and detailed resolution...but geez...these things are really tiny.

I have some red ghosting, mild light leakage, and a dead pixel....all of the regular Z70va stuff, and I can deal with it, no big deal--I'm not much of a picky guy. But this thing is actually really starting to bother me.
    Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

a couple things you can do
    1. Go onto your desktop, properties, and then in appearance choose extra large fonts
    2. Go to desktop, properties, settings, advance, change dpi to large
    3. If you're using firefox, go to, tools, options, content, beside "default font" choose advanced, then set minimum font to be sometihng like 16.

I use all three methods, otherwise i wouldn't be able to read anything, hope that helps

Also, make sure you download ClearFont(I think thats what its called) as it sharpens the text so you can see it easier without straining.

.... ClearType should almost be set to "ON" on any laptop from the factory.... it helps the sharpness of any font on any LCD screen. I think the ONLY reason why it's not is because it does use up more system resources. I'm not sure how many MB, but I think it's 5-10MB at least.
