    Importing G50Vt to the UK

    I've been following this forum for a while looking at the G50Vt and I'm pretty much sold on getting one, however there is a problem. They are not available in the UK. The only website I have found that list the G50Vt have no idea when they will be getting stock and keep pushing the estimate back every day. Seeing as there are few alternatives for the same price, I've started looking at the possibility of importing one from the US to the UK. Does any one know of any sites that ship internationally and for how much extra? Also would there be any support issues should something go wrong? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't sure where to put it. Thanks.

    Many US Asus resellers ship to the UK, and I'd highly recommend GentechPC. Asus support in the UK is pretty much a non-existent, but when going through a reputable US reseller, I'm sure they will be able to take care of all/most your troubleshooting issues.
    Shipping to the UK will probably be in the range of $200-$250 USD

    I'm also looking for one, but by importing one, the price become quite high due to shipping plus the possibility of custom charges.

    Is the Asus G50VT ever going to be in stock? Have been waiting for it for months!

    I imported mine to the UK from America, bought if of Amazon marketplace (not recommended)
    I got slammed with 180 pound VAT when it got here, so be prepared to pay that aswell
    GenTechPC have a rep on the site, if you can contact him, he is very helpful and reliable. shame i found out after i'd already ordered..
