    Hi all!

I am in the market for a laptop and have layed eyes on an Asus A6U which has a Sempron 3000+ processor, I have also looked at an A6R (which is available in Sweden but I can't find it on AsusTek homepage) which has a Celeron M380 processor. The two laptops are similarly priced and differ only in processor and graphic card, the A6R has a Radeon express 200 and the A6U has a SiSM760GX.
Which one would be the better choice, seeing that they cost exactly the same?

Also in Sweden the Asus comes with two years factory warranty. An additional year costs about 150 USD, is it worth purchasing the extended warranty you think?

The battery life of these budget laptops seems to be about two hours with the standard battery. What is the best way of extending battery life? Does the A6 series have an extra battery slot or is it necessary to have an external battery if an extra is to be installed?

I have looked at the HCT universal external power source for laptops which is very cheap (about 90 USD). http://www.hct-battery.com/Laptop/16V Laptop battery.htm
    Anybody knows anything about this?

    /thankful for answers

I wouldnt get the additional year. ASUS 2 yr international warranty is more than enough IMHO

Well I've got a Z92u (A6U) with the SISm760GX and it sucks big time! It scores around half that of the Intel 915 integrated stuff in 3D mark '01 so go figure. Its also not directX 9 hardware compliant. Not only that but the driver options are lacking very badly! you dont have much control over it and I'm sure that its a very power hungry chipset.

As for 2D stuff, it doesnt just fine.
    Thats just my thoughts though,
