As I will be receving my Win7 upgrade, I thought of buying a SSD and install Win7 on it. I know there is a possibility of a clean install, but would it be possbile to install the (upgrade) OS on the SSD?

It is possable, install with the upgrade disk (boot to the disc and clean install your version) for instance say you have Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade

    1.Boot to disk
    2.Install as normal
3.When it asks for key leave it blank and continue
4.When it boots put your upgrade disk back in
5.Enter key and upgrade (from it self on same version)
    6.???
    7.Profit! :D

erm, perhaps because you need the serial key on the DVD to activate?
