Okay I've got some questions about doing this

I wanted to replace Vista with XP since I've got some BSOD's with Vista and have had some compatibility problems.

Anyways the problem is that since I do not have the vista recovery dvd's and have an XP cd I'm planning on installing it. I'm planning to delete Vista and installing XP there.

The other question is.. will I be able to install Windows Vista with the Recovery DVDs that came with my laptop? (I will be receiving them soon)

P.S Sorry if everything sounded confusing >.<

Yes. The recovery DVDs will restore the hard drive to its factory condition, which means the preinstalled OS and all the bloatware.

Yes, it doesn't matter what the state of the hard drive is in. You can recover the initial partition anytime u want.
