    I ordered this from Newegg:

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148318&Tpk=crucial 64gb

Good price, couldn't pass up given I had $25 store credit.

Anyway, do these just slide into place like the existing hard drives? I hope I don't need a special mounting kit, probably should have asked before I ordered.

Also, does anyone know which drive is by default the C: drive? By this I mean when the laptop is upside down, is the left or right drive the C: drive? Thought I'd ask and save myself some time if anyone knew off hand.

Yes, they are standard 2.5" hard drive size and they'l slide right in like any other 2.5" drive on this laptop. IIRC its the left one.

Yes, it is the left one when looking at the bottom of the laptop.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I put the 256GB version of the same drive into my Gateway P7811-FX a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier (except about the price); the thing flies, and has given me no problems whatever. I think you'll be amazed by the performance; I sure was.
