    I was expecting some turion X2 stuff in here along with the intel dual core.

    The title is misleading. It should be Intel Duo Core 2

    Think of it this way, the naming of these products are usually horrible and thought up by OLD people.

    I might have offended some on the forum, sorry for that, but you know what I mean.

    Not just their age, but those boring old guys who come up with very unattractive names. The name of the product doesn't really matter much so I guess they don't put too much emphasis on it.

    I could be wrong. I bet I'm wrong...oh shoot. :(

    i believe the new intel core 2 duo cpus arn't for laptop,, more like saying these are Quad core cpu for destops on the future..

    Core 2 Duo is know as Conroe. The desktop version of the Merom, which is the notebook equivalent of Conroe.

    Conroe is the desktop version of the new 64 bit core duos.

    Merom is the notebook version of the new 64 bit core duos
