I have an Asus A8Jm but my school uses lots of wierd configurations that I cannot seem to get to work through the settings on intels software.
I unistalled the software but it just deleted the drivers i needed as well. I cannot use windows...even when it says "windows is currently managing this wireless adapter" i cannot use window's wireless feature, whenever i refresh the network list it says that another program is in control (my initial guess is intel's)... anyone know what i need to do?

try reinstalling the intel software from your drivers disc, make sure that windows wireless controls has control and then just turn off intel's wireless thing. However, there shouldnt be any reason the intel software cant connect to something that the windows software can.
Also if you are in a large school, with lots of wireless users around, it may just be them. Check up with your computer network services. -
you should put back intels ones, i use that and get better internet than my friend who uses windows zero or something
Intel PROSet Wireless refuses to give control to windows
