I just reformatted my W3J with the included repair partition (I've done this before with no problems), but whenever I restart, Intel Proset will no longer auto-connect to my network. When I try to manually connect, it says "Problem Applying Profile", where the only solution is to delete the profile and try again several times, obviously not a very feasible long term option. I have tried the repair install of the Intel Proset software, but that didn't do anything. Is there an updated driver available that is compatible with the wireless on/off switch or is there something else I should try? Thanks in advance.

Well, I found the solution to my own problem. I didn't have problems pre-reformat because I didn't have DEP enabled for everything on my computer. After the format, I changed it to everything and apparently, Intel Proset 10.1.xx (used by Asus for the W3J) is not compatible with DEP and will cause problems.

    A fix is outlined here:

The fix was supposed to work, but I was still getting the "Problem Applying Profile" nonsense, so I just went ahead and reset DEP to only Windows and Windows services and that fixed it.

What is DEP and how do you set/reset it?
