Hello everybody I'm looking to purchase this notebook In about a month and I wouold just like to know everyone's brief assessment of the notebook and the resellers.

From what I've looked into I would prefer to purchase it from PROPortable but I would like to know a bit more about it from anyone who has purchased from them (SmilePak). I've read his review but it didn't go into much detail his experience with Justin and PROPortable.

This review: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2346 says that the Intel PRO 2200BG has a conflict with the z71v's chipset? Has anyone experienced this because I already have one of those cards and I don't want to have to buy a 2915 unless i have to since I will NEVER use 802.11A.

Anyways the system I've configured is as follows:

    ACIZ71V
    PROPortable Z71V Centrino Notebook
    1. IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® M w/ 2MB Cache; 533MHz FSB : 750 - 1.86GHz; 533MHz FSB; w/ 2MB Cache
    2. DDR2 533 so-Dimm : 1024 ddr2 533 (1024mb x 1) - Corsair
    3. Hard Drives 2.5" ATA100 : Seagate Momentus 100GB 5400 RPM w/ 8MB Buffer
    4. Optical Drive : 8x DVD Dual Layer / Dual Format Burner (+/- R/RW)
    5. Internal Wireless Card (Required for Centrino) : No Wireless (Barebone) - No Centrino Sticker (have my own Intel PRO 2200BG)
    6. Operating Systems : No Operating System (Already have WinXP Pro SP2
    7. Warranties : 3 years parts & labor w 1 way paid shipping
    $1,778.00

I was also wondering if this warranty would cover me installing my own wireless card because I wouldn't want to void it in the first hour of owning it!

I'm very excited to purchase this laptop so please everyone let me know the quality of PROPortable and their warranty.

you know what in fact i already found a better deal on this laptop from Integrate System Technologies, Inc. $1672.00 for the same configuration and 3 yr. warranty. If Rick you could reply to the above as though It were PROPortable and if Justin you can match that price that would be fantastic. I'm really going for the best possible notebook and customer service for the best price.

Also anyone that has purchased from ITS please let me know how your experience was.

No problem with the 2200bg; it works like a charm. You can see my specs in the signature -- they're very simular to what you have.

Sorry, we don't match prices and selling notebooks for more than three years certainly helps us show how we cover a warranty as such.
