    Hi!
What do you think, will Integrated Intel GMA 950 Graphics drive 21" external CRT monitor (Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 200)?
Thinking about getting Z35f or Z62f.
Gonna use it for basic stuff and with external monitor for Photoshop. Don't play games.
So is the Integrated graphics enough or should I get Z62j instead (128mb Nvidia 7300). Is it possible to disable or underclock Nvidia 7300? To save battery and decrease heat.

    Thank you!

I can power my 23" widescreen (WUXGA) with even the last generation GMA 900 graphics.... however, although it can push it, it's not suggested. I know that this monitor I'm using "requires" atleast an ATI 128mb x800 to push the 1920 x 1200 properly... although I haven't had a problem using the laptops with it, I did burn out an older card....

So.... If you're at SXGA / SXGA+ with that 21", I don't think you should worry about it... i'm going to guess you may be pushing UXGA with it and I wouldn't suggest it as your main setup... but say 6 hours a week shouldn't hurt it.... they can all certainly push well up above UXGA and WUXGA though...

Depends, whats the resolution? Also, are you running just the external, or running dual monitors?

    Thanks for replies guys!
    1600 × 1200 just the external monitor.

BTW does anybody know if upcoming Z62j or Z96j will have DVI?
