Buying the barebone laptop (along with the processor for the warranty) from let's say GenTech and separate parts (HDD, RAM, WiFi Card, OS) from other places would be a lot cheaper. But after reading about some problems with RAM compatibility and the BSOD, I'm having second thoughts about getting the parts separately since GenTech tests the completed laptops extensively.
Has anyone who has built their C90S please comment to this? And can someone please explain how getting the same type of RAM (DDR-2 667 SODIMM) can be an issue?

    Thanks :)

i used my own ram and hard drive and im perfectly fine.

i bought from btotech though, which in my opinion was a much better process, receieved immediately with no problems

Gentech is testing all laptops now as well as BTOtech.
