Is Buy.com trustable and have good customer service? Or is there any other suggestion?
Thxs in advance.

Got mine there, no probs.

their reseller rating.
From their score, I'd say it's a last resort type of place.
I highly recommend: GenTech PC: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/GenTech_Computers_15
as that is where I bought mine a hand full of other people got theirs here.
However another good place is XoticPC: they have a great rating as well.
It's really up to you if the price differance is worth having a great company to back you up in case anything goes wrong. Also I'd much rather support a smaller company like GenTech than a multimillion dollar one. -

OMG that is a terrible reseller rating. I've gotten a lot of stuff from Buy.com since newegg's pricing has gone thru the roof. But I've luckily never had a problem where I had to send something back or whatnot.
I get a good feeling about GenTech just by the level of posts on this forum, and the raw amount of helpful info in them.
Def didn't mean to steer you in the wrong direction, that is a horrid rating. *shrug* -
Wow. buy.com reseller rating is soo awful.
Ok thxs alot for da info iBird.
Yeah I have bought stuff from buy.com, they have cheap prices and fast shipping.
New Egg has bad Prices now. Used to be cheap. No more new egg for me. -
Well, in comparison to Buy.com, who gets theirs discounted, the prices at Newegg will seem more expensive. But look at how solid Newegg is, they are a very trustworthy company, and I never think twice about purchasing from there once I find something I could use. And there is always a downside from buying from a place like Buy.com. Mainly, what I've seen, and you can even read on their reseller ratings page, is they will sell you items they don't even have. And the shipping will take extremely long time if they do end up getting that product in, after they've taken your money. They don't do business well, and they certainly wont bend over backwards to make sure everything is as smooth as possible for such a large purchase. Ken, from GenTech posts on these forums daily with technical info, troubleshooting, reviews, friendly advice, you name it. Just keep that in mind :-D

I read a while back that Buy.com actually has no warehouses. They're entirely drop shipped. I think I remember because of that commercial where the CEO is standing on top of the building, and I came to find out there was no building
Here's the only article I could find though that confirms it, and it's old. So maybe they've changed. But it'd explain their supply chain problems!

I have ordered a ton of stuff without issue. But beware if you choose the free shipping it will take forever to get to you, but it is free. Do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks on upgraded shipping.

I agree. Order from someone reputable, its worth a couple of bucks more. I just ordered by G50V-A2 from ecomElectronics.com and am having a really bad experience.
All of a sudden after placing my order their "verification dept" sent me an email that I needed to call in to "provide more information." Fine, I called. Held 25 minutes. Had to hung up to go to class. Called again in afternoon, held 20 minutes. At this point I had had enough. I am in the middle of law school and don't exactly have allot of spare time on my hands.
I email them asking them to cancel my order. Their response? Sure, but you can only cancel your order by.... you guessed it ... calling them!!!
Ridiculous. With a little amount of simple customer service, like say, calling me, I would have been a happy customers. Oh well, I suspect the "call in" is just an excuse to try to sell me more crap too. -
Like most people mentioned, stick with a reputable Asus reseller like gentechpc. I've order multiple Asus laptops from them and couldn't be happier with their extraordinary service and dedication.

buy.com is an excellent retailer. i've bought hundreds of $'s worth of products from them. free shipping + no tax is great.
edit - if you think you'll need knowledgeable customer service or help, you may want to consider a place like gentechpc though -
