Title pretty much says it all. Is the SD port in the W3J able to read SDHC cards? I'm going to guess the answer is no, but I really have no idea. Thanks guys.

I got it to work on my W3J in Vista but it was much slower than my SD micromate reader/writer (which can do ready boost) - something the SD reader can't (3-4 mb/s write and 1-2 MB/s Read) vs (4-5 and 3-4 MB/s Read)(Tested with Sandisk SDHC Extreme III)

It obviously works, but just to say why - SDHC is primarily just a file storage format change in the SD card. So, a Windows computer should almost always be able to read that type of a device.

Similar experience in WinXP. Same speeds with the ASUS card reader, but I get something like 7MBps write and 15 MBps read with the MicroMate reader. I have a Class 6 SDHC, which I think is the Extreme III.

Similar speeds with the integrated reader with a newer laptop that had SDHC supported in the stock driver. I'm guessing it's a limitation of the controller?
