Or would it be better to go with a 250GB with 7200rpm...
Basically would the difference in rpm between the 2 250's be a big difference for games?
I am trying to save money on getting a new laptop (as I have said a million times in many threads)
Thanks in advance.![]()

bump..
Im looking to get the Sager NP8662 and trying to make it as affordable as possible, so now I am just down to the HDD itself...I am just curious how much of a difference the rpm would make for games. -
For gaming itself, no. The frame-rates will not be affected by a faster hard drive in any way whatsoever. However, the loading times for saving/loading/launching games will be MUCH faster.
To answer your question: go with the 7200RPM drive. It's definitely worth it. -
Howitzer225 Death Company Dreadnought
It depends more on the graphics card and processor on what you could get from the games you play. 7200=faster write times. What's your notebook anyway?

Yeah the difference would only be loading times, your FPS ingame will not change at all.

Is a 250GB HDD with 5400rm and 8MB Cache fine for games?
