    no. Its a Montevina chip, uses montevina chipset

    uses different chipset/ but same socket. Nothing will allow you to run higher than a penryn chip.

    look into the t9300.

    on wikipedia i have read that the follow cpu are compatible with santa rosa architecture:
    * Core 2 Extreme X9000
    * Core 2 Duo T9500
    * Core 2 Duo T9300
    * Core 2 Duo T8300
    * Core 2 Duo T8100

    there is any tutorial for change cpu on G1S????

    don't get the c2d ex, your laptop is hot enough.
    just have your service manual with you, and do everything gently, it's not hard.
