    Is it z96j or z96js

    Reacently I decidet to upgrade my drivers, but i don't no which model i have :confused: on the back of my laptop it says z96j, but when i try to upgrade my bios it says that my model is z96js...

    you can find out by looking on the back of your notebook for the sticker that has the serial number on it. the sticker will state the model, and then state what Motherboard version is in your model (ie z96js). You update your bios that matches the motherboard version.

    if you don't have a sticker, you can open the back panel of the notebook and look for a the partnumber sticker that is usually on/near the memory slots on your notebook mobo. the model will be stated there as well.

    z96j in its early stage was indentical to z96js and s96j (vbi). i have no idea what they did in the later stages as they made the z96jp which was very different and does not share the same bios

    Thats the thing, on the sticker it says z96j, but when i try to upgrade my bios the 'Winflas 2.18" says that i have z96js... It loks like i'll have to open it and look what the mobo says.
