Hi,
I just recently bought Asus F3sv-B3 laptop. So far so good, just one thing I have doubts about. I see that when the display is dark - screen saver on for example, there is some amount of light leaking from the bottom of the screen. Since I'm new to this, is this kind of normal or I should consider it a defect and contact Asus for this. They have 30 days 0 bright dot policy but I don't think this falls into that category.
Thanks

most screens have some amount of lightleakage. if it bothers u contact asus

Asus considers light leakage that does not pass the task bar to be normal. If it does pass the task bar, they will likely do a repair or replacement for you.

What should be the view angle when considering if it passes the task bar? Because if I look from up down to the bottom of the screen I see a brighter light, than if I look straight at the screen.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
What scoober refers to is straight on (90 degree) viewing. What you're experiencing is normal and found in the vast majority of notebook LCDs, including Asus. -
ClearSkies is correct on this.
Is my Asus laptop defective?
