Hi, I'm a proud owner of a G2S (the screen is amazing). I've only had the laptop for a few weeks, and recently Vista has started saying that I only have 99% of my battery available while its plugged in and not charging. Is this the sign of a bad battery in the near future, or am I simply overreacting?

    Thanks,
    Bryce

Do a full charge/discharge cycle. Read the Battery Guide if you have any more questions.

If you use the battery quite a bit, you'll start to notice it degrading. It's normal to lose capacity over time/charge cycles.

You also may need to calibrate, as Lithus mentioned. It could also just be a fluke.

In either case, it's not a "bad battery"; don't worry.

Mines charges up to 98%-100% randomly. When it gets stuck at 99%, I just remove the power and let it run on battery for a bit then put the power back in, it usually goes back up to 100%.

I don't really worry about the battery, it's a consumable object, though expensive, I shouldn't really worry about it, unless it is really that bad.
