    Hello there !

I face a problem with my integrated webcam. Since one month it is not recognized at all by any Skype, Facebook tchat, online webcam testers, LifeFrame and so on...

With Skype, the luminous led of the webcam twinkle and flickers. In Options, to verify the video, the Skype screen also twinkle, hesitating between the vid test screen (which remains black) an the message screen "Skype doesn't find any webcam..." (or something like that, I translate because my computer speaks french ;-) )

Sometime LifeFrame tells me the webcam is used by another app but I don't think this is true.

My webcam is shown in the driver manager which also tells the driver is ok. But maybe the problem comes from a possible recent upgrade from Win8 to 8.1, I don't know (I don't even know when this update took place automatically I guess).

So, here is the problem : I don't really know what is the problem, it can even be an internal defect of connection (internal USB 2.0)...

If someone can help me, welcome !!!

Hard to say whether it's a software issue (such as a driver related one) or a failing webcam or cable.

Have you noticed any USB errors at any time? Maybe in your Event Viewer or Reliability Manager?
