I was wondering if there is any ASUS model that is 14' and uses the older Dothan instead of the Sonoma

The only one that I know of is the W3N, which isn't sold in the US.

The M3Np and M3Ne aren't widescreen, but are still 14" models...
You can still find the M3Np around, but the M2Ne is a little bit rarer nowadays.

Actually there was never an M3ne (only an M3n)... and the M3n didn't support dothan... that was actually the whole purpose of the Np update.

The M3n came in silver and supported the banias cpu and ran ddr266.

The M3np still comes in silver and charcoal and supports the dothan and runs ddr333.

WE technically stopped selling the M3 becasue it's not a big seller (just like all of the other 855 chipset models) now that the 915's have come out. But it's still something that we or anyone can get in within a day or so or may even still have in stock.

    Thanks,
    Justin

I agree... 14" laptops seem to be the ideal balance between usability and portability.

Both the M2 and M3 have been very popular in education for student laptops. They are quite rugged and realatively inexpensive. I personally have and am using an M2 with Dothan Processor. I always found that the 15" laptops were too big and the 12" were too small.
The M2 was "end of life" at the end of March and the M3 will be upgraded this summer to Sonoma. It was orginally Silver with white trim. Now they are also available in Black and silver (and I mean real black). It has been suggested that when it comes back this summer it will be dark grey. The M3 could use a second battery the M2 could not.
