    E6600's, at least in Canada, cost as much as the cheapest quadcore, $270 , while the e6750 costs ~$200. At this rate, I have to buy a e4400 or something.

    won't the chip just clock down to the 'correct' value when put in?

    I know ram does that, don't see why a proc wouldn't.
