Hey guys, haven't posted in here for a while now.......

just wanted to ask, is it "Normal" for my Asus A6Ja (well all laptops), when running games, to have the exhaust fan go absolutely crazy? like spinning really fast?

cause my fan makes quite a noise (but in the normal range) and u can definitely tell it's running REALLY fast....it's like "BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!"

now i'm afraid this isn't normal, so can someone confirm this for me?

it does it when i play AOE3, FEAR, HL2, etc

    Thanks

When running some application or playing some games, cpu or gpu need much power. The heat is up, the fan will automatically be up the speed, end up the nosie come out. This is a normal scenario in desktop and laptop computers.

I hardly hear the fan on my A6J too even on FPS games, but the tradeoff is my notebook gets hot. Maybe yours is louder but cooler :D

In any case, if you think it could be a problem, better check it out at ASUS support centre.
