Been searching the forums for people having my issue with no luck.

I bought my G73JHA1 about 3 weeks ago. My issue went like this:
1.The other night is just shut down after using it for 5 minutes
2.Restarted, it shut down after 5 mins
3.After pressing the power button about 10 times, restarted, shut down after 5 minutes
4.Restarted, shut down after 5 minutes
5.Waited until the next morning, restarted, shut down after 5 minutes
6.Called tech support, did some tests to see if it was an issue with the battery or power supply, shut down in both situations
7.After pressing restart about 20 times, restarted in safe mode, shut down in 5 minutes
8.After pressing restart no less than 50 times, restarted, started a system restore, shut down after 5 minutes
    9.Shipped it back to Asus

    this sound familiar to anyone?

How much battery charge is the OS reporting?

Did you check your sleep settings / power options in Win7?

    Are you running Power4Gear Hybrid?

    Battery was saying 99%.

The sleep options shouldn't matter really. It would shut down while I was surfing the web, in safe mode and in the middle of a system restore.

The repair has been completed and it is on it's way back to me. They replaced the thermal fan. Guess it was getting too hot really fast and shutting down.

Makes sense for sure. Why it died after 3 weeks? Not so much :)
