    Hi all,

    I found interesting laptop ASUS A6K-B004 15,4 WXGA AMD Turion MT-30 1,6GHz (1MB) 512MB 60GB DVD-RW WLAN BSY.

    Also intersting is
    HP NX6125 AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology ML-34 1.8 GHz - 64-bit 512MB 80GB DVD+/-RW 15"SXGA XPP (PY416ET#ABU)

The price for both laptops is reasonable (HP costs a little more), but I do not find ultimate feature which show me the "winner" in this fight: ASUS vs HP?

I am looking for business laptop with "future" - that means 64bit platform and multimedia configuration for home purposes.

I need your advise and helpful suggestions. Thank you in advance,
    Markuss

I don't own any of the two machines, but I would think that the Asus would have a longer battery life (MT processor working at 25W), but the HP would probably do slightly better in benchmark tests.
Also, the Asus might come with a 4200 rpm hard drive (sometimes with a 5400 rpm) which will again decrease its performance compared to the HP (5400 rpm).

PS: HP Business notebooks look very professional (just black and boring) and are of a very solid build quality.

    Hi Budding,

Thank you for your valuable opinion.

Exactly, the professional look of HP laptops is out of question.
Asus has more powerful GraphicCard, processor, 15'4 screen, although HP uses ML-28 64bit Turion and ATI Mobility Radeon X300.

The ASUS has a built in webcam while the HP has a fingerprint reader for extra security. The ASUS has 4 USB ports while the HP only has 3. Are any of those the ultimate feature you are looking for?

Also the X300 is very similar in performance to the 6200.

    Hi Budding,

    You are right.

But, I found out that HP nx6125 has hard disk with only 4200 RPM intead of 5400 RPM which should be standard this time.

What do you think about the HD speed of HP laptop?
I think Asus has 5400 RPM hard disk so this is one of the important feature.
