I'd run a few benchmarks and monitor your temps to see if everything is working as advertised.

Here's a few benchmarks you could use:
    3DMark06/3DVantage
    PCMark05/PCVantage
    HDTune
    SuperPi

CPU temps could be monitored by running Orthos or Prime 95 for like 15 minutes, but I don't find benchmarks to stress the GPU enough to see the max temps.

For the GPU, I'd probably either play a graphics intensive game for a while (probably 2+ hour) and check the max temps.

I think it looks about right without any modifications.

Before I undervolted, my CPU would max out at 69 but after undervolting, it goes up to around 64-5 instead.

GPU temps are fine too, mine goes up to 89C after quite a bit of playing with Fallout 3 on ultra high.

My G1 cpu is running around 75c and more, gaming at least 4-5h a day and heavy video encoding, for over 2 years and there is no problem.
So my question is why undervolt? 68c is nothing for the cpu under heavy load.

I've encountered a problem with the g51 when I used it today. My computer reads that I have wireless connection but the internet does not work or it would save limited connectivity or unidentified network. I have broadband..could this be a problem with the laptop or my internet, because their was no problem when I was using the laptop yesterday.

Then again this problem did occur when I installed vista service pack 2 x64 last night...

Undervolt has no drawbacks, increases battery life and decreases temperature. There is nothing to lose from it and everything to gain.

Umm.....is your router working properly? There is really a whole ton of issues that might be causing this.

Heh, further proof that Computers Are Not Created Equal.

Tev and I have relatively low temperatures. My 3DMArk performance seems inferior to his. Phoenix and Sunny have got hot computers.

    Hah hah.

    I'll bite.

Now if you plan on OC'ing do you first OC up to a stable max and then undervolt or do you do the undervolting first and then OC up to stable max?

Also is undervolting something you need to do each time you restart the PC or are the settings made semi-perm?

And last can any CPU be undervolted?

lower voltage = lower stable clocks.
    every time you restart.
    any cpu can be undervolted.

it wont increase battery life, since the LFM speed and voltage is already at the lowest that intel unlocked.

Any CPU can be undervolted, but its a bit tricky with those that use half-multipliers like the P7350. I first overclocked and then undervolted because if you undervolted first, you'd probably get earlier unstable overclocks. It just depends on whether you want a better overclock or a better undervolt.

If your CPU uses half multipliers, like mine does, you would need Crystal CPUID to undervolt. It doesn't reapply the settings at reboot, but you can make it do so through task scheduler and some commands.

If your CPU doesn't use half multipliers, just use RMClock and follow the undervolting guide in the Hardware section. With RMClock, you can make the setting apply at startup through the program itself so you won't have to do anything with the task scheduler.
