Hey, I'm from Ireland and am on holiday in Orlando, and I just bought this laptop, I could not believe how cheap laptops are in the United states, I got this for $614 + tax, which in Ireland, would prob only get you a netbook, or a very bad notebook, so I'm very happy with my purchase.
Though there are next to know details about it on the web, no reviews, I would love to read a review or two! are there any out there.
I searched here and there are very few threads on it!
So if anybody has some cool info about this laptop or links to reviews, that would be great![]()
Thanks,
Tim![]()

As far as I know you cannot get this model in Ireland or the UK, but I was looking around and the closest thing I could find with the exact same specs would be around €800 which is over $1000 and that probably didn't have a decent graphics card! you can find cheaper on the internet, but they always add on shipping, which is really expensive!!
The vat in Ireland is 21.5% so that really adds to the price. Also just day to day the cost of living is soooo much more expensive here than in the states, so much so a guinness is cheaper in the US than Ireland.
Thanks for the review David -

Hey guys,
So I'm back in Ireland now, and have the laptop up and running, I bought a plug adaptor and everything is great, its charging and all, now I went to put XP on, so it booted from the CD, but when it was loading up, checking for the drivers on the disc etc, a blue screen came up, twice, do you think there is something wrong wit my laptop, or is it probably just the disc I was using, because as I say I'm using the laptop now, and its working great, I just don't like vista lol, I might put Linux on it (mint) does anyone know if the wireless adapter will work or not?
mucho gracias,

Tim: go in to your BIOS and in your SATA option, select "compatible". Try this and see if the blue screen occurs again.

Bringing up the dead I am...
But I tried to skype my granny today (I moved country, only way I can contact her, phone costs too much) and the microphone wont work, I tried running windows diagnostics to no avail, anyone know what the bother could be?
I've never used skype on this laptop before mind, so not even sure it has a microphone, but surely it does??
Thanks loads,
Tim -
