It is on great laptop. I love the screen and the style of this notebook. I have yet to put any games on it. I does run PSCS2 great and converts RAW files faster then my desktop.

I am surprised that I don't see that many post here about the G2P.

I will let all of you know how it runs games next week.
    :) :)

ive had mine now for about 3 weeks and its fantastic. It plays every game ive tried at ultra high settings.
I think the reason u dont see many posts about it is the fps whores would rather blab about the 3-10 fps of the nVidia in the other lappys

WEll sometimes asus competes with itself in the models it puts out.

Most people would have a hard time taking the g2 over the g1 and they buy them from the same place...

As mentioned, the G2 is an awkward machine. It's not powerful enough, but fits the casual gamer who wants a sweet looking rig, yet don't want to pay Alienware-like prices.

The 7700 is a tad disappointing, but not everyone needs to be a hardcore gamer!

Well I doubt adding a 7900GS, or even a 7950GTX would jack G2 prices by more than $200. There's just something "weird" about branding the G2 a "gaming notebook" when it's a 17" notebook and doesn't even have a high-powered graphics card.

I guess where the Z84 comes in, but they can't please anyone. I can't say the G2 was a complete failure, unlike the G1's massive success.

I have been playing BF2 with no problems. I don't have any newer games right now to try. I love this notebook. Great screen, great layout. :)

guess you can use the same 'weird' analogy as to why the honda civic, volks, hyundai coupe, ford focus or pontiac grand am are considered sports cars (by insurance rankings) when they dont even have the performance or 'high-powered' as you will call it specs as a real sports car.
