    Congratts!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking of getting a Zalman NC2000 cooler and a Belkin Nostromo n52te SpeedPad when I get mine. :)

I believe you can upgrade to 8megs of ram too.

Computers from twenty years ago had more than 8 MB of RAM.

Anyway, yes, the G51vx can accept up to 8 GB of RAM.

Mine should be coming in tomorrow morning, I am gonna have so much fun =D. I ordered a bunch of games/accessories the same day and most will get here at the same time as the laptop (<3 usps tracking) so I get to have some fun from the get-go.

There is no way you'll use 4GB of RAM just in Vista. Even while gaming, you're most likely not going to use all 4GB.

Unless you edit video/photos, there is really no reason to get the extra RAM now. Besides, to get 8 GB of RAM, you're gonna have to buy 2 x 4GB sticks which costs alot of money. Better off to wait until the price drops.

I plan to use many adobe programs at once. Maybe not huge video files but just having many programs running at the same time. Do you think having 8 gigs of ram will benefit in this way?

Well......not necessarily unless you're doing video re-encoding while editing your huge 20 megapixel image.

Are you talking about the bing cashback deal? I heard you have to wait 60 days min, to get your money sent to you.

Regardless, patience equals free money back in your wallet. It's not such a lethal lottery as you think, Lethal Lottery.

Timing equals free money too. Last week the price dropped $125 at a reseller then shot back up by afternoon. I spent the morning deciding if I should, then checking later the deal was off. :(

nope, unless you're doing very memory intensive work like video editing.
for normal day to day gaming and work , and surfing, 4gb is more than enough, your best bet is to use a mem monitor and have it running while you do your normal stuff, if you break 60% mem usage consistently i'd be surprised

as for the second question do you mean what type of mem? or what brand?

I will certainly get 8gb ram and QX9300 as soon as price allows. Will be fantastic for an Adobe Power user!! :D

Oh and a OC'ed QX9300 will be great for games. I am extremely picky and see a difference in frames with a .2 increase in processor.
