I was wondering how many of you replaced you 5400rpm drive for a 7200rpm drive, and if you did how much of a difference it made? Thanks again, Carl

its not slow..but you will definitely see a difference if you play games or do anything that constantly draws from the HD..i haven't changed out yet..maybe in a year or so when the larger HDs drop in price

If you had a 60 gig hard drive coming with it, I would say go for it. However, a 100 gig 5400rpm hard drive to a 100 gig 7200rpm, the difference is not going to be worth the $200 expense. The faster hard drive might help boot times a little, and games might load faster, but the actual gameplay will not be improved with the faster hard drive (assuming you play games). Take that money you would have spent on a new hard drive, and upgrade your ram to 2 gigs.
