    Hello all,

I just purchased the N80VN-X1 from newegg for $899.99 - $100.00 MIR - $24.75 live.com cashback (if I did it right anyhow) + $17.20 Shipping = $792.44 SHIPPED! I am excited and scared at the same time. Shoppers remorse I guess as this went on the ole credit card. My wife will be getting a good amount from her grandfather's estate so it's not bad at all. I was looking at getting the X83vm-X1 from BB, but they don't have the awesome ASUS warranty and the total would have been closer to $850 with tax. Hopefully the wife won't be too pissed off! I will try to post a full review after I spend a little while with it, and if I have the time away from school work.

    ~Josh

Congrats! I was looking at the same unit on the Canadian Newegg site ($1115 CAD). You Americans get such better deals!

Let us know how you like it.

Congrats on purchase man! The machine will play most of the current games at medium with good frame rate.

I did pull the trigger on mine too, with $899 - $50 promo and MIR $100(hopefully will get it).

    Congrats, I bought the x59sr

I saw the n80vn in person today, some guy in the student center had purchased it after black friday open box from newegg. Looked brand new, and it sure as hell looked a lot better than the x83 model best buy carries.
Conclusion: you made the right choice

yeah the x83 models are hideous in comparison and the real kick in the pants is the warranty being so much worse.

I wish I had gotten it when they had that deal going on!

I will and hopefully it will exceed all my expectations. :D

I agree, but the big thing for me is sales tax added on + I would have had to buy a supplemental warranty from someplace like squaretrade. Dealing with Asus is so much easier! :)
